CityOS is an analytical platform based on Open Source products that allows developing all those use cases that a Smart City may need, managing security, data governance and with a modular and adaptable orientation.

DATA ACCESS

CityOS controls access to data from a single component that exposes a standards-based consumer services API (for example, WFS). In this way, security, volumetric and traceability are managed from a single component of the architecture to govern access to data.

ONTOLOGY

CityOS has a conceptual model of the city based on an Ontology. This component allows to unify the functional vision of the different data treated in the Platform with a semantic and relational treatment of it. This strategy makes it easier for the business user to interact with the data and provides discovery capabilities about the data.

ANALYTICS

CityOS provides the ability to execute advanced analytical processes such as the construction of predictive, prescriptive, simulation models and analysis of semi-structured information using any of the open technologies that exist in the market (R, SAS, Python …).

BIG DATA REPOSITORY

CityOS takes full advantage of the parallel capacity and process power of the Hadoop ecosystem technologies, which allows the processing of large volumes of data, providing scalability, high availability and a wide variety of tools and services for the operation and management of the platform . Hadoop is designed to provide a wide variety of solutions for the treatment of very heterogeneous data such as unstructured information, videos, cyclic files, etc.

DATA INGESTION

The different data sources by CityOS are treated in a homogeneous way, whether they are real-time data or large data loads. In this sense, all the data is enriched with information of predefined context, transformed into common formats and historified so that it can be treated from an analytical and operational point of view. To achieve this objective, CityOS provides generic processes that, without coding, allow the ingestion of new data sources, facilitating the Governance of the Data as well as the management of its quality.
